looking for an experienced Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment that keeps our steel fabrication shop running — forklifts, overhead cranes, Bobcats/skid steers, and shop vehicles. This is a hands-on maintenance role, not an operator role: we need someone who can diagnose problems, keep equipment running safely, and minimize downtime across the shop. What You'll Do Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts, overhead/bridge cranes, Bobcats and skid steers, and shop/company vehicles Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime Inspect equipment regularly for safety compliance, wear, and needed repairs; keep maintenance logs and records Order parts and manage basic inventory of common repair items Respond to equipment breakdowns during production to get machines back online quickly Coordinate with outside vendors or specialists for major repairs, certifications, or inspections when needed Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout during repairs What We're Looking For Experience as a mechanic or technician working on forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or heavy equipment (Bobcats, skid steers, similar) Solid mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills Comfortable working on shop vehicles in addition to material-handling equipment Familiarity with a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop environment a plus Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance schedules Own basic hand tools (shop provides specialty/heavy equipment tools) Reliable, safety-conscious, able to work independently and prioritize breakdowns

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 57.0 per week
