Heavy Equipment Mechanic Peak JCB is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team! We are offering a competitive salary with full benefits including a 401K. The technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintenance of customer heavy equipment and/or components. This position may involve some traveling to customer locations to service equipment.
Responsibilities:
Repairs heavy equipment engine and components Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic) Prepares inspection and appraisal reports Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns in on time Communicates effectively with Service Writer, and/or Shop Manager to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on Works in a cooperative manner with other team members to accomplish the goals of the shop and the company Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts Orders replacement parts, ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components Diagnoses and Repairs machine and engine malfunctions and failures Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems. High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Willing and able to work our regular work schedule of 4 10-hour shifts per week Able to lift up to 40 lbs Capable of communicating effectively and professionally with customers
