Job Summary

Summit Helicopters, an employee-owned company, is a leader in the rotorcraft aviation market recognized for its innovative solutions and value-added work from minor airframe inspections, removal and installation of major components, component overhaul and structural repair. In addition to operating our own fleet of both rotor and fixed wing aircraft, we are also an FAA certified repair station.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Supervise Overhaul Shop Technicians.

Complete Quotes and other required administration.

Interact with management team and outside customers.

Perform overhauls on Bell 206B, 206L, 407, 205, UH-1, 212, 412 components

Diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of various parts & components.

Solving intricate mechanical problems

Properly identify and tag all articles and parts removed from an aircraft or component

Ensure all repairs and assemblies are completed in accordance with manufacturer's specifications as well as FAA regulations.

Openness to learning and asking questions

Requirements

Required skills/

Abilities:

Minimum 2yrs of verifiable work experience in a technical/mechanical field; current valid A&P license is preferred but not required

Ability to read and comprehend detailed drawing and dimensional elements such as blueprints and technical drawings.

Ability to accurately use and read specialized measuring

Experience with machine shop tools such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses are a plus

Must be able to lift and move items of 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.

Excellent communication and people skills.

Must be a US citizen with a valid Driver's License.

Must have a high school diploma, or GED.

Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA. regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start. Will be enrolled in our random drug pool.
