Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Installation Technician who will be responsible for the installation of excavator attachments, wheel loader attachments and accessories, safe handling of heavy machinery, and maintaining an organized, functional equipment yard. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently around heavy equipment.   • Install hydraulic couplers, manual couplers, hydraulic thumbs, and weld-on thumbs on excavators and other equipment
  • Perform hydraulic connections, hose routing, and functional testing
  • Execute welding tasks related to attachment installation and modification
  • Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and manufacturer standards Heavy Equipment Handling & Yard Operations
  • Load and unload excavators and other heavy equipment from transport trucks
  • Maneuver, position, and park machines safely within the yard
  • Maintain orderly storage and layout of machines to support efficient operations
  • Exercise machines as needed to confirm functionality and readiness Inspections & Documentation
  • Perform inbound and outbound equipment inspections
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) prior to customer delivery
  • Complete required inspection forms, checklists, and basic documentation accurately Additional Installation & Finishing Work
  • Swap parts and accessories as required
  • Apply touch-up paint (not full repainting) to machines and attachments
  • Install decals, labels, and other finishing components
  • Assist with installation of additional machine accessories as needed Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
  • Welding experience relevant to heavy equipment and attachments
  • Ability to safely operate and maneuver heavy machinery
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow procedures, checklists, and safety protocols Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with excavators or similar heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with construction or OEM attachment standards
  • Experience working in equipment yards, logistics yards, or service facilities Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, climb, and work around heavy equipment

Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
