About the Role Ideal Crane Rental is looking for a Lift Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on manlift and lift equipment.

The goal is simple:

keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the jobsite while minimizing downtime. Technicians interact directly with customers and field teams, providing an opportunity to build strong customer relationships and support repeat business. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on lift equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Troubleshoot equipment to identify the cause of problems. Inspect equipment for safe and reliable operation. Respond to equipment issues in the field. Document maintenance, repairs, and equipment condition. Communicate equipment issues and repair needs with customers and internal teams. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Continue developing technical skills and knowledge of lift equipment. Equipment brands include JLG, Manitou, Skyjack, and Niftylift.

Required:

1+ years of mechanical, equipment, or related experience. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting. Valid driver's license. Basic computer/tablet skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to respond to changing job and equipment needs. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to squat, bend, crouch, reach, and lift as required to perform essential job functions. Ability to work at customer and jobsite locations throughout Wisconsin.

Preferred:

Manlift, aerial lift, or heavy equipment experience. Diesel or automotive mechanical experience. Construction or equipment rental experience. Experience with JLG, Manitou, Skyjack, Niftylift, or similar equipment.
