Full Job Description Overview :
Lincoln Contractors Supply is a family-owned company founded in 1956 by Alfred Knief and Wilmer Guenther. We are currently under the third generation of family leadership with Aaron Knief as President. LCS has grown to operate in 11 locations throughout the state of Wisconsin. We lead the industry in retail sales, service, and rental of construction equipment and supplies. We employ approximately 140 full-time people and continue to grow. Lincoln Contractors Supply, Inc.is searching for a motivated and mechanically inclined person interested in joining our team as a Support Technician at our Madison WI location. If you have any kind of maintenance or mechanical experience, we want to hear from you! We are looking for an individual who can perform rental equipment maintenance and repair of temp heat and AC. You will possibly be needed to assist with setup/tear downs for temp AC, temp heat, as well as occasional ground thaw, dewater/bypass pumping and more. As a member of the team, you can expect:

  • Through ongoing training, we will teach you everything you need to know about rental equipment setup.
You will work on the industry's best equipment from brands like Thermastor, Heat Wagon, Frost Fighter, Dryair, Wacker Neuson, Godwin/Xylem, and more.
Main Function :
Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fleet equipment. Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Assist Field Techs with jobsite setups and tear downs
Description of Duties:
  • Maintain prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to all internal/external customers.
  • Maintain work orders and record all parts used on rental equipment.
  • Troubleshoot rental fleet equipment performance problems, provide recommendations for problem resolution; provide estimates for repair, replacement, and installation according to problem diagnosis and repair/replacement recommendation.
  • Inform supervisor of all equipment failures. Provide assistance for follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate service records on branch rental equipment.
  • Perform routine and annual maintenance of rental equipment fleet.
  • Report any known unsafe or hazardous mechanical conditions that exist on any equipment lines to Supervisor
  • Wear appropriate safety gear conforming to LCS Safety guidelines.
  • Attend Service Training classes for technical job growth.
  • Provide assistance to Sales Personnel as needed.
  • Some heavy lifting, climbing, and carrying are required in performance of the job.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License with acceptable Driving record per our company insurance as you may be required attend job sites.
