Duties Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly and accurately. Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers with precision and attention to detail. Utilize power tools, hand tools, and ladder use to access and repair equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct maintenance tasks such as cleaning, part replacement, and system calibration to ensure optimal appliance operation. Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, plumbing schematics, and refrigeration systems to troubleshoot complex problems. Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips to enhance their experience. Complete detailed service reports, documentation of repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or appliance repair specialist with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of schematics, ladder logic (used in control systems), refrigeration principles, plumbing basics, and equipment repair techniques. Familiarity with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices for appliances and related equipment. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with box trucks or delivery vehicles is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience working in field service environments or as a delivery driver is advantageous. Basic assembly skills for appliance installation or component replacement. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot diverse appliance issues effectively.
