About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a vital problem solver for homeowners, diagnosing and restoring the functionality of essential household systems. By leveraging your mechanical aptitude and technical training, you will ensure that appliances operate efficiently while providing an exceptional service experience to every client. Responsibilities Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs for a variety of home appliances, including refrigeration units, laundry systems, and dishwashers. Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify mechanical and electrical failures, ensuring long-term equipment reliability. Deliver high-quality customer service by clearly explaining repair processes and offering preventative maintenance advice. Manage service documentation, parts ordering, and job status updates through mobile technology platforms. Maintain a well-organized service vehicle and inventory of tools to maximize daily operational efficiency. Execute complex repairs on mechanical systems and electrical components to restore home functionality. Collaborate with mentors and team members to continuously expand your technical knowledge and service capabilities. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools. Proven ability to lift and maneuver up to 100 lbs safely. Proficiency in using mobile devices and applications for daily tasks. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Skills Prior experience in maintenance, repair, or a related skilled trade. Current EPA Certification (Type I or Universal). Experience reading electrical schematics and performing equipment wiring. Background in appliance installation or complex component repair.
