In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work with a variety of commercial and/or residential HVAC equipment while ensuring high-quality workmanship, system efficiency, and compliance with safety and building codes. This is a hands-on, field-based position that requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Perform equipment installation of HVAC units including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and VRF systems. Install and braze refrigerant piping according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Install, wire, and program controls (thermostats, sensors, economizers, etc). Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, identifying issues with refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and airflow components. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Perform start-up, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of new and existing HVAC systems. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and service calls on commercial equipment. Recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory of parts and materials. Ensure all work is performed safely, cleanly, and in accordance with local, state, and federal codes. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician (commercial experience preferred). Strong working knowledge of equipment installation, refrigerant piping, controls, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading. EPA 608 Universal Certification (Type I, II, and III) - preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Proficient in the use of HVAC tools, gauges, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications HVAC Technical School Diploma. NATE Certification (any specialty).
