Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems including filters, belts, motors, and refrigerant levels to ensure peak operation. Install new HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and building automation systems. Repair and replace mechanical components, electrical wiring, plumbing connections, and refrigeration lines to restore system functionality. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations or repairs aligned with safety standards. Conduct equipment troubleshooting using hand tools and welding techniques when necessary to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status or recommended upgrades.
