This is a hands-on, field-based position for an experienced installer who can work independently from an installation truck, maintain high quality standards, and provide a professional experience for residents and property personnel.
The Role:
Complete HVAC system replacements primarily in occupied apartments, condominiums, and other multi-family properties. Because much of the work takes place in residents' homes, professionalism, cleanliness, communication, and respect for the property are essential. This position includes crane-assisted installations and requires close coordination with field supervisors, property personnel, crane operators, and other trades.
The Pay:
$60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Requirement:
At least two years of professional HVAC installation experience is required. The ideal candidate has experience operating independently from an installation truck and can manage assigned replacements efficiently from start to finish. Multi-family and occupied-unit replacement experience is strongly preferred. No entry-level applicants, please. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Replace HVAC systems and related equipment in occupied multi-family housing properties. Install air handlers, condensers, furnaces, heat pumps, refrigerant lines, drains, thermostats, and related components. Participate in and coordinate crane-assisted HVAC installations. Protect residents' belongings and maintain a clean, organized work area throughout each installation. Communicate professionally with residents, property personnel, supervisors, crane operators, and other trades. Read work orders, equipment specifications, and installation instructions. Complete system start-ups and verify that equipment operates safely and correctly. Identify and communicate installation issues, material needs, and jobsite concerns. Perform all work safely and follow company, property, and jobsite safety requirements. Take responsibility for the quality, efficiency, and completeness of assigned installations. Complete required paperwork, photographs, and digital job records accurately and on time. Use the proper tools and installation techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and code-compliant work. Maintain an organized installation truck and ensure required tools, equipment, and materials are ready for each job.
Qualifications:
At least two years of professional HVAC installation experience. Experience working independently from an HVAC installation truck. Multi-family or occupied-unit replacement experience is strongly preferred. Experience with crane-assisted installations is strongly preferred. EPA certification is required. Valid driver's license and the ability to follow safe driving practices. Must be able to pass a background check. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and HVAC equipment. Ability to troubleshoot installation problems and work with minimal supervision. Ability to operate a mobile device or tablet for job documentation and communication. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely using appropriate assistance and lifting tools. Available to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on project needs.
