The best candidate for this position is an energetic, motivated learner and trustworthy partner in providing top-notch service to our clients. We service and install all types of commercial refrigeration systems including walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, and some residential and commercial HVAC. We will provide a vehicle once the probationary period is completed and some specialty tools where necessary. Candidates must be highly driven to learn on the job with our experienced technicians and on their own via all other available avenues of education. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and support to our clients and customers and we're looking for team members dedicated to providing five-star service consistently. Hourly rate offered would be determined by level of experience. Summary As an HVAC/R Technician Trainee, you will be integral to our team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and commercial ice machines. Reporting to the Lead Technician, you will utilize core skills in HVAC while developing premium skills as a refrigeration service technician. Your mechanical knowledge and field service experience will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively. Responsibilities Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics and mechanical knowledge. Perform routine service checks and ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience in HVAC design and plumbing. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Drive service vehicles to job sites and assist in property maintenance tasks as needed. Qualifications Basic understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Experience with HVAC design and schematics Familiarity with plumbing and appliance repair Field service experience and property maintenance skills Ability to operate tools such as an ohmmeter Valid driver's license and ability to drive a van
