In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems in commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems. Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems related to refrigeration, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical components. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform precise repairs and system upgrades. Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation for all work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related construction fields with a strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of HVAC system design principles, schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration units. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting techniques. Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC or electrical diagnostics are a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred.
