Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician Air Temperature Specialists - 3.8 El Cajon, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Driver's License EPA Universal Certification Electrical maintenance HVAC Certification Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multifamily residential communities and commercial properties. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in occupied apartment communities, office buildings, retail spaces, and other commercial environments. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, package units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, and exhaust systems. Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, and mechanical issues efficiently and safely. Install HVAC equipment and components according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls for residential and commercial tenants. Inspect and test systems to ensure proper operation and energy efficiency. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs. Replace motors, compressors, thermostats, belts, filters, capacitors, contactors, and related components. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, EPA regulations, and company policies. Communicate professionally with property managers, tenants, vendors, and team members. Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Qualifications HVAC certification required; EPA Universal Certification preferred. 3+ years of HVAC experience in multifamily housing and/or commercial properties. Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and building automation systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Skills Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Familiarity with property management maintenance software. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience with boilers, cooling towers, and commercial refrigeration is a plus.
