Job Description

Action AC is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning, and indoor air quality systems. You'll perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot service calls, recommend repairs and upgrades, and ensure safe, code-compliant work. Work independently in the field, communicate clearly with customers, and complete accurate service documentation. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections Troubleshoot system performance issues and recommend solutions Install replacement parts and adjust settings for optimal operation Ensure all work meets safety standards and local codes Communicate findings, options, and recommendations to customers Prepare accurate service tickets and maintenance records Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good condition Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule Participate in ongoing technical and safety training Required Skills HVAC system diagnostics Residential HVAC repair Light commercial HVAC repair Preventive maintenance Reading HVAC schematics EPA refrigerant handling Combustion and airflow testing Thermostat and control wiring Use of HVAC tools and gauges Service documentation and reporting
