In this vital role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and initial testing of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your expertise will ensure that each system operates efficiently, safely, and reliably from the moment it is turned on. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge HVAC equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver exceptional service to our valued customers. Responsibilities Perform start-up procedures on new residential HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, Heat pump units, gas furnaces, and ductless systems. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and commission HVAC equipment. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, controls, and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Repair and adjust HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, including mechanical systems repair and electrical system troubleshooting. Verify system operation through testing procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants. Collaborate with installation teams to ensure proper HVAC system installation aligned with design specifications and customer expectations. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system features, maintenance requirements, and answering client questions confidently. Requirements Proven experience in construction or service technician roles within the HVAC industry. Strong knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, mechanical systems repair, and HVAC system installation. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and refrigerant charts. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing skills, and mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with HVAC design principles, building codes, safety standards (including EPA certification), and electrical systems. Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for accurate troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver standards preferred.
