Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC system maintenance, repair, and installation projects. Your leadership will ensure exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. Duties Manage daily HVAC service operations, including scheduling and dispatching service technicians to various job sites. Oversee HVAC system repairs, maintenance, and installations, ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Review schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to facilitate accurate troubleshooting and system upgrades. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex HVAC, electrical diagnostics, equipment repairs, and mechanical systems. Coordinate with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on HVAC system design and upgrades, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Supervise inventory management of tools, parts, and equipment such as hand tools, ohmmeters, refrigerants, air conditioning units, electrical systems, and plumbing components. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards. Train and mentor technicians on the latest HVAC technologies including electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, HVAC system installation/maintenance, and mechanical systems repair. Maintain detailed service records, reports on repairs performed, equipment status updates, and safety documentation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery processes to boost efficiency and customer experience. Experience Proven experience in HVAC service technician roles with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building integration and complex system layouts. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience managing a team of technicians or service personnel. Extensive knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, mechanical systems repair, electrical diagnostics & systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience using hand tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; knowledge of equipment repair procedures is essential. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience working with boilers and other mechanical systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients at all levels. Valid van driver's license or equivalent for transporting tools or parts as needed. Pay:
$107,098.46 - $117,437.17 per year
