Job Description

American Mechanical, inc. (AMi), a leading provider of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services, is seeking a highly motivated HVAC Service Technician to join their Walnut Creek, Bay Area team. AMi specializes in the design, value engineering, construction and maintenance of HVAC indoor air quality systems and energy management systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Our customers include office buildings, airports, hotels, clean rooms, universities, laboratories, developers, and property managers.
Service Technician Responsibilities:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Diagnose service issues, quote necessary repairs, and source required parts. Replace parts, and calibrate system to manufacturer's specifications. Educate customers on system operations, maintenance, and potential upgrades. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Provide excellent customer service
Required:
Minimum 3 Years of HVAC commercial experience EPA Certification Valid driver's license with clean driving record Able to pass background check and drug test The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience. Residential experience will also be considered. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our customers. Must be competent in troubleshooting and repair of up to 40 Ton DX equipment and demonstrate proficiency with the following types of equipment and system repair: (1) package gas-electric, (2)split system dx, (3) heat pump, (4) water source heat pumps, (5) fan coils (6), and constant volume systems. Comprehensive knowledge of wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
