Job Description

Meyer Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems across the Kansas City metro. You'll troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems, perform preventative maintenance, and complete quality installations and change-outs. Technicians communicate clearly with customers, explain findings, and provide honest recommendations. We emphasize craftsmanship, punctuality, and teamwork, offering ongoing manufacturer training, support from experienced leads, and growth into senior or lead technician roles in a stable, customer-focused company. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform preventative maintenance on furnaces, AC units, and heat pumps Install and replace HVAC equipment and related components Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues Calibrate and test system performance for safety and efficiency Communicate findings and repair options to customers clearly Maintain accurate service tickets and documentation Follow safety standards, codes, and company procedures Coordinate with dispatch and team members on scheduling Participate in ongoing training and skill development Required Skills HVAC system diagnostics Residential HVAC repair Light commercial HVAC service Electrical troubleshooting Refrigeration cycle knowledge Brazing and piping Reading schematics and wiring diagrams Use of HVAC gauges and meters Combustion and airflow testing Customer communication and documentation
