Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician, where you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. Specific experience installing Oil Tanks and Heating Systems is preferred. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications. Perform system troubleshooting and repair on existing HVAC equipment, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration issues using tools such as ohmmeters and specialized diagnostic equipment. Specific experience with Oil Tank Installations and Heating System troubleshooting is preferred. Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity, including cleaning components and replacing filters or worn parts. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and electrical systems to ensure precise installation and repairs. Diagnose electrical diagnostics issues within HVAC/R systems, including building automation systems (BAS) and electrical wiring configurations. Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and mechanical skills to assemble or modify HVAC components during installation or repair projects. Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on work performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job site. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations such as EPA standards for refrigerants and local building codes; operate as a responsible van driver delivering equipment or parts as needed. Skills Proven experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair. Experience with Oil Tank and Boiler Installations Service technician experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively in the field. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles including ammonia refrigeration systems. Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork, and property maintenance tasks. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters; capable of welding or performing equipment repair when necessary. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; familiarity with electrical systems including wiring diagrams. Experience working with field service operations involving HVAC/R equipment installation or maintenance in commercial or residential settings.
