Paraco HVAC is looking for an experienced and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a well-rounded HVAC professional who is confident in diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment and is also willing to assist with equipment installations as needed. The ideal candidate can work independently in the field, troubleshoot effectively, communicate professionally with customers, and take pride in providing quality workmanship. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC equipment Troubleshoot heating and cooling system issues and determine appropriate repairs Service gas and oil-fired furnaces and boilers Service central air conditioning and heat pump systems Service ductless/mini-split systems Service and troubleshoot water heaters and related equipment Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups Assist with HVAC equipment replacements and installations as needed Perform equipment start-ups and verify proper system operation Communicate findings, repair recommendations, and replacement options clearly with customers Maintain accurate service documentation Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes Work alongside other technicians and installers to complete larger projects efficiently Participate in an on-call rotation as required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience Valid Connecticut HVAC license required - B-2, D-2, S-10, S-2, or higher Strong HVAC service, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills HVAC installation experience preferred Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with gas and oil heating systems Experience with central air conditioning and heat pump systems Familiarity with boilers, furnaces, ductless systems, water heaters, and hydronic systems Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation EPA certification Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to safely lift and move HVAC equipment and materials Propane experience is a plus, including familiarity with leak checks, pressure testing, regulators, gas piping, appliance connections, and propane safety procedures What We Offer Full-time, year-round work Company vehicle Health and insurance benefits Paid time off Retirement benefits Training and opportunities for continued professional development Opportunity to work on a wide variety of HVAC equipment and projects
