As a Residential HVAC Field Diagnostics Specialist with Rack Air (a division of Rack), you bring homes and small businesses back to comfort with sharp troubleshooting, clean workmanship, and clear communication. You'll end each day knowing your precision and professionalism earned another 5-star review—and advanced your career in a structured, growth-minded environment. A day in your boots Head to residential and light commercial calls to diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. Optimize performance by cleaning and adjusting air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drains. Execute installations and upgrades with exacting attention to safety and quality. Translate technical findings into friendly, plain language and present recommendations. Document all work thoroughly; keep your truck and workspace spotless and organized. Respond to urgent needs as they arise and rotate through on-call coverage. Tackle additional assignments as needed. What you bring 2-5+ years of HVAC experience with strong residential service exposure. EPA Certification (required). Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience (required). Proven diagnostic mindset; strong critical thinking for complex system issues. Craftsman's pride, positivity, and commitment to quality. Physical demands Frequently lift 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs. Climb ladders; access attics and crawlspaces; navigate tight spaces; push, carry, pull; use hand tools; perform detailed work. Ability to drive. Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces. Stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear face-to-face and by phone. Use hands for tools/controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. Frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, or snow).
