Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, chillers, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to execute precise repairs and installations. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards; perform preventive maintenance tasks regularly. Troubleshoot mechanical systems repair issues efficiently by utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment to restore optimal functionality. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC or refrigeration service technician with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems. Construction experience or background in mechanical systems is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, electrical testing devices (such as ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC system repair or appliance repair are a plus. Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC system installation, maintenance, boiler operation, and mechanical systems repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
