Bluefin Mechanical LLC is a rapidly growing mechanical contractor specializing in large commercial projects throughout Florida, with a strong focus on healthcare and hospitality facilities. From hospitals and medical campuses to hotels and resorts, we deliver high‑quality, code‑compliant mechanical systems with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and client service. Our offices in Sarasota and Port Charlotte support projects across the state. Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of projects from initiation through completion. This position will work closely with the Project Manager, field teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company and client expectations. The Assistant Project Manager will assist with day-to-day project coordination, documentation, scheduling, communication, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and candidates looking to grow their project management skills while taking on increasing responsibility. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with daily project planning, coordination, and execution from start to finish Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as schedules, budgets, contracts, submittals, change orders, RFIs, etc. Monitor and follow up on outstanding tasks and provide status updates to stakeholders Identify potential scheduling or organizational issues and bring them to the Project Manager's attention Schedule meetings, appointments, and project-related activities Communicate with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations Qualifications A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field At least 1 year of experience in the MEP contracting industry preferred Strong communication and customer service ability, verbal and written Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software Knowledge of mechanical systems design, installation, and operation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required for job-related travel.
