Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, chillers, refrigeration, exhaust fans, VAVs, FCUs, CRAC Units, DAHUs, TAHUs, and a plethora of equipment Read and interpret specs and drawings Communicate effectively with foreman regarding installation of systems Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes. Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment between job sites. Skills Construction experience is welcomed but not required Proficiency in reading schematics, HVAC design plans, equipment specs, submittals and models Strong mechanical knowledge or common sense is required Skilled in using hand and power tools Experience with HVAC system installation including ductwork setup and piping connections. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable; understanding of safety protocols involved in handling refrigerants under EPA regulations. Experience working with building automation systems for climate control management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to contractors.
