HVAC Supervisor McKeon Heating, Air & Plumbing | Kennesaw, GA Full-Time | Residential HVAC Lead From the Field. Develop the Team. McKeon Heating, Air & Plumbing is looking for an experienced HVAC Supervisor to help lead the training, development, and technical growth of our residential HVAC team in Kennesaw. This is a hands-on, working supervisor position . You won't lead the team from behind a desk. You'll work directly alongside our HVAC Service, Maintenance, and Installation teams through technical training, ride-alongs, job-site support, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and running service calls yourself. We're looking for an experienced HVAC professional who knows the trade, enjoys developing others, and is still comfortable putting on the tool bag and getting the job done. What You'll Do As our HVAC Supervisor, you'll have a direct impact on the technical performance and development of our entire HVAC department.

Your responsibilities will include:

Running residential HVAC service calls as part of the normal responsibilities of the position Conducting regular technical and skills-based training for Service, Maintenance, and Installation team members Performing ride-alongs with technicians to provide real-time coaching and development Assisting technicians with difficult diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex service situations Visiting active service and installation job sites to inspect workmanship and uphold McKeon's quality standards Providing field support when technicians encounter technical challenges Reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring company safety standards are followed Coaching technicians on diagnostics, system knowledge, repair techniques, installation practices, and technical aptitude Identifying individual and team training opportunities and helping build development plans around them Supporting newer technicians as they develop confidence and independence in the field Continuing to challenge and develop experienced technicians Helping improve consistency and technical standards across Service, Maintenance, and Installation Supporting the team during high-demand periods and stepping into the field wherever needed Helping create a culture of accountability, continued learning, quality workmanship, and professional growth This Is a Working Supervisor Role We want to be clear about what this position is and what it isn't. This is not a desk-only management position . Our HVAC Supervisor is expected to remain active in the field and connected to the day-to-day work our technicians perform. That includes running service calls, assisting technicians on difficult calls, conducting ride-alongs, visiting job sites, and seeing firsthand where our team is succeeding and where additional development is needed. We believe the best technical leaders maintain credibility by staying connected to the trade. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with significant residential HVAC experience and the ability to turn that experience into development for the people around them.

The right person will have:

Extensive residential HVAC service experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Knowledge of HVAC service, maintenance, and installation practices The ability and willingness to independently run residential HVAC service calls Strong understanding of job-site safety and quality workmanship The ability to teach technical concepts in a practical, understandable way Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or leading HVAC technicians Strong communication and leadership skills A willingness to work alongside the team instead of simply directing it High standards for workmanship, professionalism, and customer service A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout McKeon's service area Previous experience as an HVAC Field Supervisor, Service Manager, Technical Trainer, Lead Technician, Field Manager, or Senior Service Technician is valuable. However, a management title isn't required.
