Innovien Solutions is currently hiring a Data Center HVAC Technician for seasoned HVAC and mechanical technicians looking to move into one of the fastest-growing, most in-demand sectors in the trade — offering strong pay, union benefits, and a clear path to build data-center-specific expertise. You'll be trusted with keeping the cooling infrastructure running that protects business-critical operations around the clock, putting your hands-on experience with DX equipment , CRAC units, RTUs, air handlers, pumps, and split systems to work in a setting where precision and uptime actually matter. You bring the HVAC and mechanical background; an experienced site lead will train you on the data center side.

DATA CENTER HVAC TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of hands-on mechanical HVAC experience in an industrial, commercial, or highly critical environment Experience inspecting and servicing in-rack hydronic cooling systems Experience performing preventive maintenance on CRAC units, RTUs, AHUs, packaged units, and split systems Experience monitoring pump performance and flow rates Strong HVAC troubleshooting experience Hands-on experience with VRF or mini-split systems Excellent communication and documentation skills

PLUS SKILLS

Experience working within a data center environment Hands-on experience with DX equipment — a core cooling method used to support this data center environment Union background

DATA CENTER HVAC TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect, maintain, and repair in-rack hydronic cooling systems, CRAC units, and DX equipment Service and troubleshoot RTUs, split systems, VRF and mini-split systems, and packaged units Maintain and repair air handling units and associated pump systems Monitor equipment performance and respond to alarms or temperature and humidity deviations Maintain thorough and accurate documentation — including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance records — to the standard this critical environment requires Follow all site safety protocols and critical-environment change-management procedures Escalate equipment issues appropriately and support root-cause troubleshooting alongside the site lead Participate in on-the-job training under the site lead to build data-center-specific expertise

Pay:

$43.00 - $53.00 per hour
