Job Summary The HVAC Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems at a Government military facility. Work is completed in accordance with manufacturer standards and Federal Government guidelines, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment (RTUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, VAVs, heat pumps, split systems)Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, including controls and wiring diagramsRespond to service calls and emergency after-hours requests as neededMaintain service documentation, tools, and supply inventorySupport building systems including EMS, fire alarm, sprinkler, and emergency generator systemsSafely lift and move materials up to 75 lbsFollow all safety, security, and site requirements Requirements 5+ years HVAC experienceNATE Certification (required)Universal CFC Certification (required)DC Stationary License (1st or 3rd) (required)High school diploma or equivalentAbility to work MondayFriday with occasional overtime and on-call emergenciesAbility to pass drug screening and Federal Government background checkU.S. Citizen or approved registered alien
