Neighbors Heating and Cooling - Ames, IA Neighbors Heating and Cooling has been serving central Iowa since 1986 with a focus on craftsmanship, reliability, and honest service. We are looking for an experienced HVAC installer to join our team and help deliver the high-quality work our customers expect. Our installation work is primarily residential replacement and retrofit , with some residential new construction and light commercial projects mixed in.

Pay:

$25-$37/hour

DOE Schedule:

Monday-Friday, starting at 7:15 AM until job completion (typically between 3:00-5:00 PM) What You'll Do Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment Complete residential replacement/retrofit installations along with some new construction and light commercial work Read and interpret blueprints, job layouts, and technical manuals Ensure installations meet code requirements and company quality standards Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and project managers Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record EPA Certification required HVAC trade school or equivalent experience preferred Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction What You Can Expect Dedicated install manager to coordinate jobs between sales and installation for smoother scheduling and better job flow Mostly residential work with a variety of replacement, retrofit, and new construction projects Locally owned and operated company Supportive team environment Paid holidays and PTO Group health insurance available through an employee-paid plan 401(k) with company match after 1 year Uniforms provided Continuing education and training provided Become a Neighbor You Can Count On.
