This position is designed to develop the skills necessary to become a fully qualified HVAC Technician while providing quality service to residents and maintaining company properties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on residential HVAC equipment. Replace air filters, belts, capacitors, contactors, and thermostats as directed. Clean evaporator coils, condenser coils, and condensate drain lines. Inspect HVAC systems for proper operation and report deficiencies. Assist with diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment. Perform seasonal inspections and routine service. Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle. Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents. Participate in after-hours emergency calls as assigned after training. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Technical school or HVAC training preferred but not required. Six months to one year of maintenance, construction, or HVAC experience preferred. EPA Section 608 Certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic understanding of heating and cooling systems. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Good problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Professional communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Climb ladders and stairs. Bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Stand and walk for extended periods. Working Conditions Full-time position. Outdoor and indoor work in all seasons. Participation in an on-call rotation after successful completion of training.
