Your New Role Serve as a Lead HVAC Service Technician based in Morris, IL, supporting customers throughout Grundy County and surrounding communities. Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Take ownership of HVAC service calls from initial diagnosis through resolution with minimal oversight. Troubleshoot heating and air conditioning equipment, including furnaces and cooling systems. Perform preventative HVAC maintenance and identify repair or replacement needs based on equipment condition. Apply your field experience to challenging HVAC problems and determine practical, dependable solutions. Communicate clearly with homeowners and commercial customers about system problems, repairs, and recommended solutions. Help uphold R. L. Lyon's standards for quality workmanship, professionalism, honesty, and customer service. Assist with HVAC installations as needed. Support indoor air quality, ventilation, and related heating and cooling work as needed. Serve as a dependable technical resource within the field team as you take on greater responsibility.
Hiring Expectations:

EPA certification required. A2L certification preferred. Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of residential HVAC systems. Ability to independently manage HVAC service calls from diagnosis through resolution with minimal oversight. Strong hands-on knowledge of heating and air conditioning equipment, including furnaces and cooling systems. Ability to diagnose complex HVAC issues and determine practical repair solutions in the field. Ability to follow established company procedures while applying sound technical judgment.
