Requirements:
RI Refrigeration License We are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed HVAC Service Technician or Licensed HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and cooling systems while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate clearly with homeowners. Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems and related equipment. Install and service heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, central air conditioning systems, gas and oil furnaces, air handlers, boilers, condensers, humidifiers, air purification systems, and other residential HVAC equipment. Perform complete HVAC installations, including equipment placement, ductwork, line sets, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, low-voltage wiring, thermostats, and system controls. Perform equipment startups and commissioning, including system evacuation, pressure testing, refrigerant charging, airflow adjustments, and operational testing. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues, including refrigerant leaks, failed compressors, capacitors, contactors, transformers, relays, control boards, blower motors, ECM motors, thermostats, and low-voltage issues. Perform preventive maintenance and tune-ups to improve system reliability, efficiency, and equipment life. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and installation specifications. Perform refrigerant recovery, leak detection, brazing, evacuation, pressure testing, and system charging in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
