HVAC Journeyman - Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. This position is strictly commercial work; no residential HVAC work is involved. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on commercial HVAC experience, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and determine appropriate repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment. Service and repair commercial air conditioning systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, boilers, and related equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals. Test system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation. Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, and other HVAC equipment. Maintain accurate service records and document completed work. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Follow all company, OSHA, and safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Journeyman/Master Licensed-level commercial HVAC experience. Strong knowledge of commercial heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. EPA 608 certification required or preferred, depending on position requirements. State or local HVAC license/certification as required. Valid driver's license may be required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work in various commercial environments and safely handle equipment and materials.
