Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the comfort and safety of commercial and residential environments. This energetic position involves installing, repairing, and servicing HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance through precise diagnostics and mechanical expertise. Your hands-on skills and customer-focused approach will help deliver reliable climate control solutions while supporting building automation systems and mechanical systems maintenance. We are looking for a motivated professional eager to troubleshoot complex equipment issues, perform system upgrades, and provide exceptional service to clients. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and building automation system layouts to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot equipment problems by utilizing mechanical knowledge, plumbing skills, and appliance repair techniques to identify root causes swiftly. Assist with HVAC system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or building requirements. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed for accountability and future reference. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling by possessing valid EPA certification. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, maintenance needs, and safety procedures. Support field service operations by managing multiple job sites efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience in construction or HVAC service technician roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation. Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and building automation system layouts accurately. Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with plumbing, refrigeration, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including boilers and mechanical systems repair. Experience with HVAC system maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
