About the Role As a Senior HVAC & Industrial Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex laboratory infrastructure. You will manage the lifecycle of large-scale cooling, electrical, and mechanical systems, directly impacting the quality of high-stakes testing environments. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting on large tonnage chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and scroll compressors. Manage complex electrical systems, including high-voltage distribution up to 4160V, VFDs, and intricate control circuits. Execute predictive and preventative maintenance programs using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and ultrasonic testing. Maintain steam generation, humidity control, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal facility performance. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to streamline maintenance workflows and project planning. Operate specialized equipment including forklifts and man-lifts while adhering to strict safety and rigging protocols. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and enhance system longevity. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of experience in large-scale industrial chiller service and maintenance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical one-line drawings. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting building management systems and control logic. Strong background in electrical safety and high-voltage systems. Universal Refrigerant Handler certification. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Preferred Skills 10+ years of industrial HVAC/R maintenance experience. Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS platforms for work order management. Knowledge of ISO 17025 or
ISO 9001
quality standards. Familiarity with wind tunnel operations and specialized process cooling systems. Experience with Reverse Osmosis and DI water system maintenance.
