About our group:
Seagate MNC is searching for a facilities HVAC / Refrigeration Maintenance Technician. This technician operates and maintains all building HVAC equipment and supports general facilities operations. This position reports to the Facilities Mechanical Services Maintenance Manager and will support Seagate's Bloomington, MN operations - an 800,000 square foot, highly technical facility, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. About the role - you will: Perform preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of heating and A/C units. Including MAUs, RTUs, FCUs, boilers, pumps, and motors
Perform preventative maintenance, repair and installation of AHUs, VAVs, supply fans, and exhaust systems including air scrubbers
Operate and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building chillers and production refrigeration units, compressors, fans, coils and piping
Use building control system (JCI/WME) to monitor, report and troubleshoot building system faults and respond appropriately to alarms Perform minor plumbing repairs
Use and maintain related HVAC & refrigeration tools and supplies
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Respond to emergency calls related to equipment failure, spills, and leaks
Complete all assigned preventative maintenance and service request on a computerized maintenance management system
Perform miscellaneous department-related duties as assigned including possible safety inspections and building grounds work
Coordinate with lead, management, project managers, engineers, contractors and other personnel in order to understand and effectively complete assigned work
Adhere to all environmental and safety rules and regulations
Be a member of the site Emergency Response Team (ERT)
Able to work A Shift - Mon-Wed and every other Thursday, 6am-6pm
About you: HVAC certification and 2 years' experience or equivalent formal apprenticeship training in operation, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial HVAC equipment
CFC Certification
Boilers License or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Work independently with minimal supervision Work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to identify and recognize the difference between low and high voltage
Strong customer service skills
Possess strong skills in organizing, executing and documenting work
Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in order to work closely with site management, engineering, staff and others
Able to respond to emergency calls, work a 12-hour shift, work occasional overtime, and work occasional holidays as required
Your experience includes: Johnson Controls or GE Controls experience desirable
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Experience with Microsoft Office
Associate Degree in HVAC, Technical College
