CoolSys is seeking a Senior HVAC/R Service Tech to lead field service for commercial and industrial customers. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC-R and refrigeration systems, perform preventative maintenance, and optimize equipment for energy efficiency and reliability. You'll handle advanced troubleshooting, support emergency calls, and provide clear, professional communication to customers. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented culture, you will mentor junior techs, follow all codes and standards, and leverage ongoing technical training and growth opportunities. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization for energy efficiency Lead complex troubleshooting and ensure high-quality, code-compliant work Provide emergency service and respond to service calls in a timely manner Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service systems Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers on solutions Mentor and support junior technicians in technical skills and safety practices Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company standards Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, options, and solutions Required Skills Commercial HVAC service Refrigeration systems troubleshooting Electrical and controls diagnostics Preventative maintenance Brazing and refrigerant piping Reading wiring diagrams and schematics EPA Section 608 certification knowledge VFDs and control systems Energy efficiency optimization Use of digital gauges and service tools
