Tomlin Heating and Air LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician / Field Manager to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced HVAC professional who is comfortable diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems while also helping oversee day-to-day field operations. We are looking for someone dependable, knowledgeable, organized, and capable of leading technicians while maintaining the quality and professionalism expected from our company. The ideal candidate understands that this is not strictly a management position. You will actively perform service and repair work in the field while serving as a point of leadership and support for our installation and service teams. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform service calls and accurately identify equipment failures Repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, and related HVAC components Assist technicians with difficult diagnoses and field-related questions Provide leadership and direction to installers, helpers, and service technicians Monitor workmanship and ensure installations and repairs meet company standards Perform quality-control inspections when necessary Communicate job progress, delays, additional work needed, and field concerns to the Office Manager/Operations Manager Review scheduled jobs and help ensure technicians are prepared for the day's work Confirm technicians have the appropriate equipment, tools, materials, and information before arriving at job sites Help coordinate field adjustments when schedules, weather, equipment, or job-site conditions change Identify material shortages and communicate inventory needs to the office Assist with truck, tool, equipment, and material accountability Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicles Ensure technicians follow company procedures and professional standards Communicate professionally with property managers, maintenance teams, tenants, homeowners, vendors, and other customers Document service findings, repairs, materials used, recommendations, photos, and job completion information Assist management with training and evaluating newer technicians and helpers Report attendance, performance, safety, or conduct concerns involving field employees Participate in periodic employee performance reviews and field evaluations Help maintain a safe and productive work environment Qualifications Applicants should have: Previous professional HVAC service and repair experience Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment Experience with gas furnaces, straight-cool systems, heat pumps, air handlers, condensers, coils, thermostats, and related components Ability to read wiring diagrams and use HVAC diagnostic equipment Understanding of proper installation and service procedures Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions Ability to communicate clearly with both field employees and office management Good organizational and documentation skills Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of HVAC field work EPA certification is strongly preferred. Additional HVAC certifications, including NATE certifications, are a plus. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Experienced. You should be able to troubleshoot HVAC problems without requiring constant supervision. Dependable. Our customers, office staff, and technicians need to know they can rely on you. A leader. You should be comfortable correcting problems, teaching technicians, answering questions, and setting the standard in the field. Professional. You will represent Tomlin Heating and Air when communicating with customers, property managers, vendors, and other contractors. Accountable. We expect accurate documentation, responsible use of company vehicles and equipment, and prompt communication when problems arise. Team-oriented. This position works closely with both field technicians and the Operations/Office Manager. Communication between the field and office is a major part of the position. Schedule This is a full-time field position. Work schedules may vary based on customer demand, scheduled installations, service calls, weather, and emergency service needs. HVAC is seasonal, and additional availability may be necessary during peak heating and cooling seasons. Compensation Competitive compensation based on HVAC experience, diagnostic ability, certifications, leadership experience, and overall qualifications. Compensation and additional employment details will be discussed during the interview process. Introductory Period New employees are subject to a 90-day introductory period . Performance, attendance, punctuality, professionalism, workmanship, communication, safety, and overall job performance will be evaluated during this period. Successful completion of the introductory period may include eligibility for additional company benefits and employment provisions based on company policy. Pay:

$25.72 - $34.58 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
