Journeyman HVAC Technician Location:
Jefferson City, MO Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, ~7:00 AM-4:00 PM, seasonal overtime, on-call once trained
Compensation:
$24-$34/hr ($50K-$71K annually), plus after-hours differential once on rotation About the Role We're looking for a Journeyman HVAC Technician who can work independently on routine residential calls, with solid troubleshooting skills on furnaces, AC systems, and basic controls. This is a great fit for someone with a few years of field experience who's ready to take ownership of day-to-day residential work while continuing to grow toward a Type A license. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair residential furnaces, AC systems, and basic controls Work independently on routine residential service calls Diagnose common HVAC issues and complete repairs efficiently Join the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service once trained Work seasonal overtime as demand requires Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and customer service What You Bring 2-5 years of HVAC experience Active or near-eligible Journeyman (Type B) certificate EPA 608 certification (Type II minimum) (required) Solid troubleshooting skills on residential furnaces, AC, and basic controls Proven ability to work independently on routine jobs Clean driving record Deal-Breakers No EPA 608 certification No path to licensure Poor driving record Compensation & Benefits $24-$34/hr base ($50K-$71K annualized) After-hours differential pay once on on-call rotation
