Job Summary Corum Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a family-owned and operated business located in Lee's Summit, MO. We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver top-tier heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal comfort and system efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while providing exceptional customer service. A strong mechanical background combined with construction experience will set you up for success in this vital role. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems using schematics and electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters Perform repairs on HVAC equipment to restore optimal operation Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure longevity and efficiency; perform inspections and preventative measures regularly Communicate repair recommendations and options clearly to customers Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to repair or replace faulty components swiftly and safely Maintain detailed service reports, logs of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job Provide professional and courteous customer service on every call Maintain a clean and organized work area and service vehicle Maintain current knowledge of HVAC equipment, technology, and best practices Experience Proven field service experience as an HVAC technician with a strong background in system repair and maintenance Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including electrical systems and building automation controls Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC equipment installation or repair Experience troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or multimeters Customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information clearly to clients Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in HVAC design or property maintenance are a plus Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift equipment and work in varying temperatures and conditions Join our team as an HVAC Service Technician if you're passionate about mechanical systems repair, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and thrive on delivering outstanding service.
