Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to perform warranty work on mobile homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and completing maintenance tasks related to mobile homes, ensuring that all issues meet the warranty specifications. This role requires expertise in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general carpentry. A focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail is essential for ensuring that all warranty work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic inspections and assess mobile home issues related to warranty claims.
  • Complete warranty repairs on a variety of systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and general structure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to mobile home construction, installation, or systems that fall under warranty.
  • Follow standard procedures for repair and installation to meet warranty guidelines and industry standards.
  • Work closely with customers to explain repair processes, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including detailed reports of parts, repairs, and service times.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with warranty claim departments, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Provide preventive maintenance recommendations and ensure that all work is completed within the prescribed timeframes.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry techniques, tools, and safety practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in mobile home maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in mobile home maintenance or similar work, particularly in warranty repair and customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile home construction and various systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common issues found in mobile homes.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic computer skills to complete work orders and submit reports.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and perform other physical tasks related to repairs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with warranty work in the mobile home industry.
  • Certification in specific trades such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
