Quality Comfort Heating & Cooling is hiring an experienced HVAC service technician for residential service and maintenance across Western North Carolina. You'll run your own calls out of your own truck, diagnose and repair residential systems, and deal with homeowners directly. PAY

• $24.00 to $34.00 per hour depending on experience and certification
• Commission on accessories and maintenance agreements you sell
• Overtime during peak season
• Recall and warranty work is paid.

You don't work for free when a job comes back.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, day shift, with an on-call rotation shared across the team. Overtime available in summer and winter peaks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems
• Perform maintenance and tune-ups
• Document findings with photos and clear notes so the customer sees what you saw
• Quote repairs and present options to homeowners
• Flag systems past repair so our replacement team can follow up
• Keep your truck stocked, clean, and organized
• Work with dispatch on timing and parts

WHAT YOU NEED

• Experience diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems
• EPA 608 certification
• Valid driver's license and a record clean enough to drive a company vehicle
• Able to work in attics, crawlspaces, and on roofs in summer heat and winter cold
• Comfortable using a phone or tablet for work orders, photos, and invoicing
• Able to explain a repair to a homeowner without talking down to them

WHAT SETS A CANDIDATE APART

• NATE certification
• Heat pump and dual-fuel experience
• Experience with the A2L refrigerant transition (R-454B, R-32)
• Ductless and mini-split experience
• A track record of selling accessories or maintenance agreements
• Service Fusion, ServiceTitan, or similar

Everything gets documented with photos, so there's no argument later about what was found. Do good work and take care of customers and there's room to move up. We promote from inside where we can.
