Job Description
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installation Technician to lead and perform commercial HVAC project work, including equipment change-outs, replacements, and new installations. This role is responsible for safely executing projects, guiding field technicians, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring the quality installation and start-up of packaged and split HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong installation experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and perform HVAC change-outs, replacements, and new installations for commercial facilities.
- Install and start up packaged rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, condensing units, ducted systems, and related components.
- Remove existing equipment and reconnect ductwork, refrigerant piping, condensate piping, electrical systems, controls, gas piping, and accessories.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, brazing, leak testing, troubleshooting, and system start-up activities.
- Provide field direction, training, and support to technicians and apprentices.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, start-up forms, refrigerant logs, and material tracking.
- Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements, OSHA guidelines, and applicable building codes.
- Support project completion goals while maintaining installation quality and customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation:
The anticipated pay range for this position is: HVAC Technician I( 10+ Years) $38.00- $55.00/hr HVAC Technician II (5-10 Years): $28.00

Raleigh or Charlotte, NC (Travel is required for this role)Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements Required Qualifications- Minimum five (5) years of commercial HVAC installation, replacement, service, or project experience.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC change-outs, new installations, packaged systems, split systems, refrigerant piping, electrical systems, controls, start-up, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, submittals, and installation documents.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High school diploma or GED required. Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC trade school education, vocational training, or apprenticeship program completion.
- Experience leading small crews or serving as a senior field technician.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with rooftop unit replacements and curb adapters.
- Experience coordinating crane picks, rigging activities, and equipment deliveries.
- Experience installing split systems, including line sets, condensate piping, control wiring, and system start-up.
- Experience working alongside general contractors, subcontractors, and multiple trades on active construction sites. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to access rooftops and mechanical equipment locations.
- Ability to work from ladders and aerial lifts.
