Duties Install residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans Conduct system inspections, ensuring proper operation of refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, and mechanical components Use tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) diagrams to ensure accurate installation Perform plumbing connections and integrate electrical wiring safely while adhering to local codes and safety standards Conduct routine maintenance on installed systems to optimize performance and longevity Drive company vehicles responsibly to job sites as a driver, ensuring timely arrival and safe transportation of equipment Collaborate with service technicians on complex repairs involving appliance repair or property maintenance tasks Skills Strong construction background with experience in building systems installation Proven service technician experience in HVAC or related mechanical fields Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical blueprints Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration processes, and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge of HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, and refrigeration systems Field service experience with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R equipment in residential settings Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently Experience with property maintenance tasks related to heating and cooling systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for driver responsibilities Mechanical experience with appliances or boiler systems is a plus Basic understanding of electrical wiring, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures Embark on a career where your technical skills make a tangible difference!
