Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend lifespan. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units. Repair or replace faulty mechanical components, including compressors, fans, pumps, and thermostats. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately service complex HVAC/R systems. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommended solutions. Skills Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair. Strong service technician background with hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment issues. Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) for controlling HVAC operations efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical diagnostic equipment, and testing devices such as ohmmeters. Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles during installation or repair projects. Familiarity with electrical systems within HVAC/R units including electrical diagnostics and system maintenance. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid van driver's license for on-site visits; experience in property maintenance is a plus.
