Job Description
About the Position At Smith River HVAC, we're looking for an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Plymouth, NH. This is a hands-on role for someone with 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience who is confident troubleshooting equipment, working independently, communicating with customers, and taking ownership of a job from start to finish. You'll work on a variety of commercial HVAC systems while also serving as a resource and leader for other members of our field team. The right person is dependable, knowledgeable, professional, and takes pride in doing quality work. What You'll Do Lead commercial HVAC service, repair, maintenance, and installation projects Diagnose and troubleshoot heating, cooling, electrical, and control-system issues Service and maintain commercial rooftop units, boilers, heat pumps, and related equipment Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment failures Lead and assist other technicians on challenging service calls and projects Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and building owners Maintain accurate service records and communicate job status Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard Help mentor and develop less-experienced technicians What We're Looking For 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Solid understanding of electrical and HVAC controls EPA 608 certification Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work and jobs Valid driver's license and good driving record Strong communication and customer-service skills Professional appearance and attitude Ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team The Right Fit The right candidate is a seasoned commercial HVAC technician who can walk onto a job, diagnose the problem, determine the best solution, and get the job done right.
