Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing service team. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and minor installations on residential or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, provides top-tier customer service, and works efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
    Troubleshoot & Repair:
    Diagnose mechanical and electrical defects in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ductless systems).
      Preventive Maintenance:
      Conduct scheduled tune-ups and multi-point inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
        Component Replacement:
        Safely replace faulty parts including compressors, fan motors, electrical controls, and thermostats.
          EPA Compliance:
          Recover, recycle, and charge refrigerants in strict compliance with EPA Section 608 guidelines.
            Customer Communication:
            Explain diagnostic findings and repair options clearly to customers, helping them make informed decisions on maintenance or replacement.
              Documentation:
              Complete service notes, parts logs, and invoices accurately via mobile app or dispatch software daily. Qualifications & Requirements
                Education:
                High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC trade school program or technical apprenticeship preferred.
                  Experience:
                  2 to 4+ years of hands-on field experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and repair.
                    Certifications:
                    Valid EPA Universal (Section 608) certification required; NATE or HVAC Excellence certifications are a strong plus.
                      Technical Skills:
                      Proficiency using multimeters, manifold gauges, and hand/power tools. Ability to read wiring schematics and technical manuals.
                        Physical Requirements:
                        Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined crawlspaces/attics, and tolerate extreme outdoor temperatures.
                          Driver's License:
                          Valid, clean driver's license and reliable ability to commute. Benefits & Perks
