HVAC Service Technician $70,000/year + overtime and commission opportunities Full-time | Direct Hire | Clifton, NJ Elite Finders is recruiting for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a growing HVAC service team in Clifton, NJ. This is a hands-on field service position for an HVAC technician who is comfortable diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling systems, working independently, and communicating professionally with customers. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ductless systems Perform preventive maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections Replace components such as compressors, fan motors, electrical controls, and thermostats Recover, recycle, and charge refrigerants in accordance with EPA Section 608 requirements Use multimeters, manifold gauges, and standard HVAC hand and power tools Read wiring schematics and technical manuals Explain diagnostic findings and repair options clearly to customers Complete service notes, parts logs, and invoices using mobile or dispatch software Perform minor HVAC installations as needed What We're Looking For 2-4+ years of hands-on HVAC service, maintenance, and repair experience Valid EPA Universal (Section 608) certification required Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience using multimeters, manifold gauges, and HVAC service tools Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation Valid, clean driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in crawlspaces, attics, and varying outdoor temperatures High school diploma or

GED HVAC

trade school/apprenticeship experience and NATE or HVAC Excellence certifications are a plus, but not required.
