Senior HVAC Installer Small, privately owned shop looking to hire an experienced Senior HVAC Installer to lead residential and light commercial installs. You'll run jobs from start to finish, mentor junior installers, and make sure every system goes in right the first time. What you'll do Lead installs of furnaces, heat pumps, AC units, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Collaborate with customers to provide exceptional service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for each service call or installation project. Read blueprints and load calcs, and plan each job before you start Run line sets, brazing, electrical hookups, startup, and commissioning Keep job sites clean and safe, and explain new systems to customers What you bring 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients EPA 608 Universal certification (NATE certification is a plus) Strong grasp of local mechanical codes and permit requirements Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops General ability to field-fabricate sheet metal Refrigeration experience a plus What we offer Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance Paid time off and holidays Simple IRA with company match Company vehicle and a phone Paid training and certifications Education reimbursement Apprenticeship programs Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and HVAC design specifications. Conduct system troubleshooting using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and other hand tools to identify issues with mechanical or electrical components. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Repair and replace faulty components within HVAC systems, including electrical wiring, mechanical parts, refrigeration lines, and building automation controls. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately install or repair complex mechanical systems. Collaborate with customers to provide exceptional service by explaining system operations and maintenance procedures clearly. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for each service call or installation project. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards. Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to job sites. Assist in diagnosing issues related to electrical systems within HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units for efficient troubleshooting.
