Lead Install Technician -
Princeton Air Location:

Ready to step into a role where your experience actually sets the bar? The Role (Your Day-to-Day) This is a lead-level role where you're not just doing the work—you're setting the standard. You're in the field diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining systems—but also guiding less experienced technicians and ensuring every job meets a higher level of quality. You show up to a job, assess the situation, and take control: Diagnose issues using tools and testing equipment Identify root causes and implement lasting solutions Ensure all work is completed to code and company standards You'll also: Support and collaborate with technicians and apprentices Communicate clearly with customers and leadership Price jobs using flat-rate systems and collect payment Document all work accurately and completely You're the person who ensures the job is done right—every time.

What You'll Be Responsible For Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace systems to code and specification Diagnose complex system issues using tools and testing equipment Adjust, repair, and replace defective components and reassemble systems Perform preventative maintenance and quality inspections Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and company standards Read and interpret blueprints and system designs Calculate pricing using flat-rate system and handle payment collection Maintain detailed documentation of work, materials, and system conditions Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and team members Support and collaborate with junior technicians and team members Respond to service calls and manage workflow efficiently Follow and enforce safety protocols in the field What Makes You a Fit EPA Certification (required) Valid driver's license High school diploma or equivalent Trade school (completed or in progress per state requirements) 3+ years of hands-on HVAC or trade experience (elevated expectation for lead role) Strong diagnostic and advanced troubleshooting skills Ability to lead, guide, and support other technicians Familiar with local and national codes and regulations Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams Strong communication and leadership presence Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in all conditions Authorized to work in the U.S. Compensation + Perks Overtime opportunities available Year-round, stable work Ongoing leadership and technical development Backed by 50+ years of trusted service Strong team support and consistent workflow Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions Moderate to loud environments May include early mornings, evenings, weekends Physical work: climbing, kneeling, lifting, bending (up to 75 lbs) Our Hiring Process We move fast—but we hire right.
